EDITORIAL ⟩ Entry ban for little men

2026-01-25 - 21:07

Last week, Estonia imposed a lifetime entry ban to the Schengen area on 261 Russian fighters who have taken part in the war against Ukraine. Considering the roughly 140,000 demobilised Russian soldiers and the approximately 700,000 soldiers currently involved in the aggression, this number is small, but it is a necessary and correct first step in a situation where one can predict that Russia-related problems will continue in the coming years, regardless of the outcome of the war in Ukraine.
