EDITORIAL ⟩ We Can’t Go Without Latvia

It seems that a harsh joke may – at least initially – come true: that Rail Baltic will turn into a high-speed train from Tallinn to Ikla for Estonia, and not to Warsaw. At Monday’s sitting of the Riigikogu’s special anti-corruption committee, an overview of what is happening in Latvia was given by Andris Kulbergs, chairman of the Latvian parliament’s Rail Baltic inquiry committee. In his view, it is very unlikely that the railway will be completed by 2030.
