In Estonia’s security debate there is a strange and stubbornly persistent assumption: every idea that comes from the private sector is by default suspicious. If not directly anti-state, then at least driven by a hidden and devious business interest. This attitude has been slow to disappear, even though Estonia has been independent for 35 years already, writes ESC Global Security head Jaanus Rahumägi (Reform Party).
